After School Swimming Club - KS 1 Guidelines
Please note KS1 refers to Reception to Yr 3
· 20 places are available on swim days. KS 1 swim days are Tuesday and Wednesday. You will need to bring in a signed permission letter on the day before the club i.e. Monday for Tuesday and Tuesday for Wednesday. The cost of the swim is £1. 50. It would be very helpful if you can please have the correct money.
· The swimming club will be supervised by a lifeguard and one member of staff.
· The swimming club will start at 3.20pm after school. The children will be taken to wait on the bench in the KS2 playground for the adult supervisors to unlock the pool.
· Please note that the children are responsible for getting themselves changed before and after swimming- please do not send KS 1 children to the club if they are unable to do this.
· All non-swimmers must wear armbands supplied from home and all children must wear hats. (Your child will be asked to change if they do not have armbands and are unable to swim unaided.)
· Parents can collect their children from the KS 2 playground at 4.30pm.
· For safeguarding reasons no parents may enter the pool area.
· Swimming will always take place unless the pool is unfit or there is thunder and lightning at the time of swimming (it will go ahead in rain) in either case the office will contact you.
