Jazz/Hip Hop Dance
Girls and boys can join the “Funky Divas & Dudes” for high energy fun. Learn the latest steps and routines while you exercise and develop balance, coordination, turns, and more! Combinations can help develop sequential memory. Classes use popular music and a performance will be given at the end of the session. ADVANCED DANCES & TECHNIQUE for 2nd & 3rd graders.

Being Da Vinci/Creating a Special World Together Through the Arts
Just as Da Vinci's life was a laboratory of imagination, this class is a live working studio. Being Da Vinci uses art as a lens to explore our world, digging deep into science, technology and history projects. Students have been exploring architecture of Europe and discovered positive and subtractive sculpture. Building upon this area of interest, Being Da Vinci students will add the concepts of collaborative work and installation art to build a model city through use of visual art techniques combined with design and technology tools. Chess Club
We introduce chess to students in a fun and exciting way! For all students and all levels, we teach students to play chess and help them succeed in school by stimulating their problem solving skills, analytical skills, and critical thinking. Includes exclusive booklets and worksheets. Win certificates, medals and trophies! You’ll be amazed at how these kids can learn to play! Beginners are welcome. All levels coached.

Karate
Learn in a fun, safe, and non-competitive setting. Classes designed for you to have fun, learn new skills, and become knowledgeable in the art of self-defense AND lessons of life. We specialize in teaching children positive attitudes towards themselves and others. Classes are closely supervised for the safety of every child. Students need to wear a uniform. Karate for kids can supply one for $45. Other karate/matrial arts uniforms are acceptable.

LEGO Mindstorm NXT Robotics Spring Competition! (this class runs through May)
This is the perfect class to give your young engineer a head-start in the world of computer technology! Students build and program real robots using Lego Mindstorms NXT Robotics kits. Design, creative problem solving, and independent thinking are all put to the test in this class! We will work towards programming our robots to perform particular tasks and then meet up with other schools in the area in May for a fun LEGO Robotics tournament.

Yoga and Movement for KIDS
Join our EC teachers, Jordana King and Amira Attar, for a fun engaging afternoon class of yoga and movement. These fun age-appropriate activities will build strength and self-confidence, foster cooperation and concentration, and improve overall health. We will learn different yoga poses kid-style, through story and music, as well as explore calming breathing techniques.

Jump Rope & HOOPING Club
Jump Rope/Hooping Club is back! Great songs, great fitness-fun, and lots of new tricks. All jumpers will work to develop short rope and long rope skills, and have fun with Chinese Jump Ropes. We will be using the fitness hula hoops for creative and cool stunts and games. New and returning jumpers welcome, with everyone receiving a new jump rope. Join us for a terrific way to build your jumping and hooping skills!

Come play with Sculpey and learn amazing techniques! Extend the Sculpey fun and get innovative and imaginative. CML – Math Challenges for 2nd & 3rd graders
Do you like to figure out Math Challenges? Join Keisha for an afternoon work-out for your mind. This is a class for 2nd & 3rd graders who love to engage in tricky and complex math problems. In Continental Math League students utilize both mathematical and reading skills to answer problem solving type questions.
Working individually and in groups, students work through problems with the teacher acting as coach, not giving students the answers. This is a great age to develop your Math Mind!

Robotics Age/ HM Logi—Sea, Air, Land
Build different Robot Models that will cover the land, sea and air. Each model will be activated by one or more electrical engines, depending on the model, and will simulate the different aspects of the sea, air and land vehicles and machinery. Join the CEE Cubs and play Soccer against local schools. Our CEE Team is coached by professional coaches from JMG Soccerwise. Practices and Games are Tuesdays 3:30-5:00 pm for 4th-6th graders. Co-Ed and everyone gets playing time in 4-5 games for the Season. Parents DO need to transport kids to games at other schools (about ½ of the games). Playing schools such as: Temple Israel of Hollywood, St. James, Pilgrim and more!

Parents do need to get players to the away games (carpooling suggested). Co-ed team, all players play in games. NOTE: Culminates in all-day Basketball Tournament here at CEE on Sunday, March 20.

We will incorporate planting and play to offer opportunities for learning in the fresh air. The pathway to better health, nutrition and a sense of accomplishment is right outsider our door.
