We will be hosting the FINAL informational meeting for Summer in Finland 2008 program next
Wednesday, November 7, 7-8:30 p.m., @ Dillman 214
If you are interested in railroads, it is a good time to work toward engineering degree. Major railroads and consultants are looking to hire annually over 100 engineers and other professionals from all disciplines and they are turning their heads toward Tech Graduates. Summer in Finland program is your opportunity to experience and travel in Finland while learning the basics in Railroad Engineering and Finnish language and culture. And this can be combined with summer internship in the U.S. rail industry. Last summer 23 Tech students took advantage of this opportunity, making the total number of program participants to 62 over four years...... and none of them has been disappointed. As many students have said "This is the best thing you can do at Tech....earn credits and travel with minimum extra cost!".
Are you ready to go to Finland next summer? The applications can already be submitted to International Office. If you have already decided to apply, the application forms are here:
http://www.ips.mtu.edu/Study_Abroad/index.html
The program is open for ALL DISCIPLINES. Come to enjoy the refreshments and hear more about the:
- Program schedule and contents
- Program costs, scholarships and financial aid
- Statements from previous year program participants
- Opportunities for internships with rail companies and consultants
Check also out all the photos and video clips from previous years in our web site
http://www.cee.mtu.edu/railroad/ . You can also find the fact sheet for this year's program from the site.
Refreshments are provided. If you can't make it to this meeting, let me know and we will follow up with another one. Any questions....give me a call (7-3547) or send me a line ().
