Act 2: Post Secret*, Romeo and Juliet Edition

Imagine you are one of the characters from Romeo and Juliet. Think about what secrets you might be keeping from other characters. Keep in mind, we only know what the characters say, not what they actually know, think, and feel.

1. The secret should be based on the text, or something the character could BELIEVABLY be keeping.

2. Each secret can be a regret, hope, funny experience, unseen kindness, fantasy, belief, fear, betrayal, desire, feeling, confession, or childhood humiliation.

3. Use images that mirror the message of the secret.

4. Be brief, be legible, be creative.

5. Use any materials we have in class or you have at home to make your card.

6. It should not be larger than a half sheet of paper.

7. On the back of the card, write the explanation and the textual evidence that supports the secret.

a. Give the character’s name.

b. Give the act, scene, and line numbers where the textual evidence is found.
