Secondary (Backup): 448.450(-) repeater (100 Hz tone)

(this repeater is located on Cheyenne Mt and should provide better coverage to stations along Hwy 115)

(b) Road/Traffic Routes:

The MS-150 Tour starts in Highlands Ranch on Saturday morning. The tour will enter our area of responsibility in Monument, along Hwy 105. The tour will proceed south along Old Denver Hwy to a bike path, to North Gate RD. A "century loop", an optional additional 25 mile 'loop' will proceed along a not clearly defined (on the map they gave me) route via Gleneagle Rd, Sun Hills Rd, Stella Dr, probably south on Roller Coaster Rd to Stagecoach Rd, to HWY 83, to Hodgen Rd. Thence east to Herring Rd, south to Shoup Rd, Shoup Rd west to Rest Stop #8 at the Black Forest Lutheran Church (corner of Shoup and Black Forest Rds). Continue east on Shoup Rd to Hwy 83, thence north to Northgate Rd, then west into the USAFA where it rejoins the 'regular' route. The regular route proceeds west on Northgate Rd into the USAFA to Rest Stop # 5, at the Overlook (overlooking the sports fields). From there, proceed around the back of the Academy on Academy Drive, then Pine Drive, then east on South Gate Blvd to Rest Stop # 6 located at the 10th Airbase Wing.

From this point, the map is unclear how, but the tour will get to Rockrimmon Blvd (perhaps via the Monument Valley Bike Trail?) then proceed West on Vindicator Dr to Centennial Blvd. South on Centennial, to Trailblazer Elementary School (Rest Stop #7), then continuing south on Centennial to 30th St; south on 30th to Mesa, south on Mesa to Uintah, east on Uintah to Cascade, and south on Cascade to the Finish Line at Colorado College.

Sunday, the route starts at Colorado College, Cascade and Cache La Poudre. A "Century Loop" proceeds east on Cache La Poudre, somehow gets to Palmer Park Blvd, Palmer Park east to its end at Rest Stop # 9, Cimarron Eastridge Park. Exit the Park on Constitution AV, east to Marksheffel Rd. Thence south on Marksheffel to Fontaine (south of the airport), west on Fontaine to Rest Stop #10, Widefield Park (corner of Fontaine and Drury LN. Then continue on Fontaine, west to US highway 85/87; south on 85/87 to Hwy 16- which becomes MacGrath into Ft Carson gate 20, once on Ft Carson, proceed along MacGrath to O'Connell St; turn left and had west out gate 2 to Hwy 115 and re-join the 'regular' route.

The 'regular' Sunday route proceeds south along Cascade, jumps over to Nevada somewhere before Las Vegas St., and continues south as Nevada becomes Hwy 115. Rest stops 11, 12, and 13 are located along Hwy 115 at 10.5, 18 and 26.8 miles (from the start line) respectively. At this time, I don't have more specific locations for these-- as they aren't cast in stone yet. Hopefully, the MS150 tour folks will have set up porta-potties the night before, so we can look for these to identify the rest stops. After the tour leaves Rest Stop 13, they move out of our jurisdiction. If they manage to get the same rest stops as last year, they will be:

Rest Stop 11: "The Bug" (Natural History Museum at Hwy 115 and Rock Creek Canyon Rd)

Rest Stop 12: Turkey Canyon Ranch.

Rest Stop 13: No info on this one yet.
