AP World History: Renaissance Fakebook

Assignment: You have been invited to a cocktail party with other influential Renaissance figures. You will be assigned one person to research. You will be impersonating this person for the cocktail party, as well as creating a “Fakebook” (Facebook) page showing this individual’s historical impact.

Complete a one-page, single-spaced research summary using relevant information below. You may do this in paragraph form or bullets with complete sentences:

Part II: Cocktail Party:_________________

You will mingle with other Renaissance individuals during the cocktail party to share information about yourself, as well as learn about other Renaissance individuals. Be sure to note potential friends and rivals. Take brief notes from your conversations.

Part III: Facebook Page, Due:__________________

1. Using the information you gathered about your individual and your contemporaries, develop a Fakebook page, using the template on Mrs. Bloom’s website. Demonstrate your knowledge of your individual’s impact on Renaissance society as well as how their contributions aligned with the values of the Renaissance by developing fictional Facebook conversations, “defriending” individuals, forming and/or joining groups, etc. Your Fakebook page should be approximately two pages and should include a profile picture, etc. to look authentic.

2. Submit your Fakebook assignment, research summary and sources to Schoology.
