3- Please make checks payable to Scholastic Book Orders. No cash, please.

4- Homework slips will start on Monday, September 26th. These will be erased at the end of each trimester. Recorded on Option C.

5- Please, sign your child’s homework book every night and on Friday after checking the homework. Check the Home Goodies often to empty any papers being sent home.

6- Every Sunday Night, I update my teacher page with an overview to the week ahead. This is not a homework page. You may want to make sure that your child has a “buddy” in the class that they may contact at night if questions should arise.

7- Long Range projects: Religious Award- Keep in a safe place at home until DUE DATE. This will not be accepted earlier than the due date. Book Reports- Keep book report at home in a safe place. Book reports may be turned in BEFORE the due date. Samples are available on my teacher page and the Rubric (grading) that will be used.

8 -Traveling Mary- If you are interested in keeping Traveling Mary at your house

for a week either sign up at Back to School Night or send in a note. I will make a

schedule, starting in October. Traveling Mary comes home on a Friday and is

returned on a Friday. See teacher page for scheduled dates. Please, keep Traveling

Mary in a safe place at home and away from any animals. Thank you!

9 - Our Halloween Parade is scheduled for Friday, October

28th. In giving you a heads up, your child will have a long-

range project due on that day. Your child will be asked to

dress-up as a book character, display a book with their

character in it, and give an Oral Presentation to the class as

their character. More details will come home about this

project. Your child will be graded on their Oral Presentation

for a grade in English. Since, they are not expected to read

the book for their presentation, they should select a

character that they are very familiar with from previous

readings. Their Oral Presentation should be presented as if

they are the character! ex. Hi my name is Amelia Bedelia!
