A Dialogue between Philosophes

Directions: Create a conversation between Thomas Hobbes and John Locke. Your fictional conversation should identify each thinker’s core beliefs and include some personal information (i.e., background, etc.). You should also point out differences between the two thinkers.

You are encouraged to be creative, but the conversation should also be substantive—that is, minimize “small talk” and focus on what we have learned! I am grading you on the content, not humor.

You may use your book and notes from class. Set up the dialogue as if you were writing a play. For example:

Hobbes: blah, blah, blah, YOLO

Locke: yada, yada, yada, LOL

Additionally, you must select ten of the following words in your conversation. Lengths will vary, but aim for 2-3 pages.
