Call to Order

The meeting opened at 9:42 a.m. in Bldg. 1083. The President thanked members for coming out on a cold morning, since it was just as cold as the previous month when the January meeting was cancelled due to weather. She welcomed the advisors.

Minutes of Previous Meeting

Move to accept the minutes of the December 2008 meeting were made and seconded. Motion passed.

Board Report

In addition to submitted board reports, the following information was given:

2nd Vice President made note of available volunteer parking passes, one per person regardless of number of activities. Please display the pass on your dashboard. Our Advisor noted that base officials will issue parking tickets starting next week for those parked in volunteer parking spots without the passes.

Admin. Treasurer: Absent due to a family emergency so there was no report.

Nominating Committee: Questionnaires available at the back credenza. It was noted that as of the Board meeting, there were no applicants for the Exec. Committee.

Our Advisor announced that the Fisher House evening fundraiser will be at the Museum of the USAF, April 25th, “All American Evening”, at $65 per person.

New Business

1.  Think TV Auction—The Welfare Committee proposes to donate merchandise up to the amount of $500 per fiscal year to the yearly THINK TV Network Auction. By doing this we can keep this as a line item in our welfare budget and not have to keep coming to the Board of Governors for this contribution. Motion seconded. There was discussion, followed by voting. Motion passed.

2.  Jergens Center— The Welfare Committee proposes to donate $450 for an unbudgeted request from the Jergens Center toward the purchase of three GPS systems for their vans. Motion seconded. Motion passed.

Board Comments

·  Board Positions — Please update your board duties/job descriptions and email them to the President.

·  Start looking at inventory and give list to the 1st Vice President on or before the

March meeting.

·  Reminder that the Welfare Committee meetings have a new start time of 9:30 a.m., unless otherwise stated.

·  Look at your budget needs and email that to the Admin. Treasurer as soon as possible.

·  The 2nd Vice President commented that the 88th ABW Vice Commander is thrilled about volunteers being nominated for Volunteer of the Quarter. The 2nd Vice President will need the volunteer hours you have worked. Be generous to yourself. He will be sending out an email clarifying what hours you can count, for example whether or not you can count the time driving en route to meetings, etc. Deadline for both hours and Volunteer of the Quarter award nominations is April 1st.

Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 11:07 a.m. The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, 5 March, 2009, at 9:30 a.m. in the Activities Room, Bldg. 1083.
