Anne and Lillian's story – Anne and Lilian became friends 20 years ago when they met through a program that matched people leaving long term institutional care with people in the community, to foster friendships. Anne and Lilian talk about their friendship.

Jim Blake / Landscape designer and musician from Lakes Entrance in Gippsland, Victoria. Five years ago Jim had an accident which left him with quadriplegia and changed everything about his life. Jim shares his story and his blues -singing and harmonica

Faaolo Utumapu Faaolo Utumapo and Gerrard Gosens / Faaolo is a post-graduate student from Samoa who interviewed Gerrard Gosens, paralympian, distant runnercyclist and g adventureroalballer,, about his recent experiences on Dancing with the Stars.

Matthew is Executive Director of People with Disability Australia.

Jason Anderson / Jason is an advocate for appropriate supported housing for young people with disabilities. He spoke to 3CR about the challenges disability or serious illness present for marriage and relationships.
Jody Saxton-Barney / Jody is a proud Urangin/Birri-Gubba Deaf woman from South East Queensland. Now living and working in rural Victoria, Jody is a descendent and survivor of the stolen generation, working to improve the quality of life and communication for Ddeaf Iindigenous people. She started her own business ‘Deaf Indigenous Community Consultancy’ to advocate and train services on how work can be culturally appropriate and effective. Jody spoke to 3CR about the needs of deaf indigenous communities.
Patricia Woodcroft-Lee
Life with a disability in East Timor / Patricia has low vision and has volunteered over the past few years to support people with vision impairments in East Timor, and particularly the school for the blind Fuan Nabilan. Patricia talks about the challenges for people with visual impairment or blindness in Timor, the unwillingness of aid agencies to recruit people with disabilities to work overseas and transfer their skills, and misunderstanding about Albinism (Albino), the condition which lead to her own low vision.
Angelino Benevides from Ahisaun Disabilities Foundation spoke at Strengthening Disability Advocacy Conference Disability Advocacy Resource Unit (DARU), Self-Advocacy Resource Unit (SARU) and Victorian Disability Advocacy Network (VDAN).
Kate Hood / Kate Hood is a writer and voiceover artist, and reads one of her short stories, based in her own experience of disability.
Anne Carson / Melbourne author and poet Anne Carson has been writing and performing for a number of years, and has a strong commitment to raising awareness of the needs of people with disability through her art. Anne has written a book fictionalising her long friendship with and advocacy for a woman with intellectual disability, and gave a reading for 3CR for International Day of People with Disabilities.
Maree Cowan / Maree Cowan is an activist for bipolar disorder and has written a collection of poetry about her own experiences with mental illness. Maree read seven of her poems that describe her own journey with bipolar.
Wesabi / Wesabi offers peer support for people with ABI or stroke in the western suburbs, and clients of the SCOPE St Albans day program. Ria, George, Mal, Larissa and Barry recorded their stories.
