8:30 Leftover Budget – If RCC club budgets are not spent by 6/1/07, where should the $ go?

  • Dragonboat paddles
  • Hockey Jerseys
  • W. Soccer Jerseys
  • Yoga Lamp
  • Pool and Billiards Tournament Rack

Motion – pay for Pool and Billiards Tournament Rack with the rest going to Dragonboat paddles. Vote 5-0-0 PASSED

8:40 National Travel Fund for next year – What does RCC do with leftover funds in NTF? We have approx $5,000 leftover this year. Will NTF budget be reduced in the future? If so, how will RCC handle not having enough funding for national travel? The RCC will make a reserve request before spending but after allocating funds.

Discussion – The National Travel fund is there to make sure PSU is represented at national events. The National Travel fund will only be used for qualified events. If funding is insufficient, the RCC will make a reserve request from SFC before spending but after allocating funds.

8:55 New RCC By-laws Draft –

  • Will RCC maintain a record of negative club activity (ie if the club missed a term report, a vote, a training, etc)? If so, James would like some context attached to it, as well as the club leader responsible. If a particular club leader has the same recurring problems, the RCC should go to the club and/or club leader to help facilitate a solution. Would this tracking of bad standing events to be the responsibility of liaisons? Jenny currently has this information tracked in an Excel document tracking good/bad standing of all clubs. Club standing should be recorded for future use. Bad standing notes will include a description of event, recording of attempts at reconciliation and the outcome.
