7th Grade Busch Gardens Trip

Dear 7th Grade Parents,

We are in the process of making plans for our Fall trip to Busch Gardens. We are very excited about this trip because Busch Gardens is an educational and fun place to visit! This trip is scheduled for Thursday, October 20, 2016. We will

leave at 5:30 A.M. and return at 10:30 P.M. We will travel by Astro Travel. These motor coaches have all the modern conveniences that we have grown accustomed to when traveling on these trips.

The cost of this trip is $120.00 per student. We will not be stopping for meals on the trip down or back. Students will be allowed to bring their ownindividual sized snackand bottled water to be eaten at the rest area on the way down. No food is allowed to be eaten on the bus. No food items will be allowed back on the bus at the rest area. For the trip back, students need to eat before they leave the park. In addition to the cost of the trip, students will need to bring sufficient money for food inside the park and any souvenirs they would like to buy. In order to pick up a student directly from Busch Gardens, a written request must be submitted to Ms. Manuel two weeks prior to the trip. The request must include the child’s name, the person who will pick up, and your contact information.

We expect this to be a very special and enjoyable trip for everyone involved. Behavior requirements will be

reviewed with students during their C-period (Homeroom) class. We feel very strongly that all students can exhibit positive

andacceptable behavior!

Students who fall into one of the following categories on or after September 6, 2016, will not be allowed on the trip to

Busch Gardens:

  1. Being placed into In School Detention (ISD) two or more times on or after 9/6/16.
  2. Being placed into Out of School Suspension (OSS) any time on or after 9/6/16.

Field trip money and permission forms will be collected before school in the 7th grade hallway on

the followingdatesonly:

September 6th7th $120.00& permission slip

Checks should be made out to Deerlake Middle School and include the following:

  • Parent phone number
  • Name of Student
  • C Period Teacher
