Since then there have been three significant releases of Johnny O’Keefe product on the Festival Label.
1988 – D8088/C8088 – J O’K – SO TOUGH
An 8 CD set which included 158 original recordings from 1957-1977. The package included 21 previously unissued tracks and a lavish 20 page Rock ‘n’ Roll scrapbook featuring a pictorial history of THE WILD ONE.
1996 – D80610 – JOHNNY O’KEEFE – THE BIRTH OF AUSTRALIAN ROCK ’N’ ROLL
A fully restored and digitally re-mastered 3CD set devised and compiled by Bruce Powell. The three CD’s were titled “THE HITS”, “THE BALLADS” and “RARITIES” and totalled 75 tracks. The package also included a 24 page booklet with various photographs and press clippings and especially written new liner notes by Clinton Walker.
