Ushers

World Meeting of Families 2015

In support of the World Meeting of Families gathering in September, the Church has asked all Catholics to pray the official WMOF prayer. It is to be prayed before mass. Here at Corpus Christi it is to be found on the back flap of our green hymnals, in both English and Portuguese.

Family Faith Formation Registration – 2015-2016

Registration for Faith Formation Grades 1 thru 8 will be held in the church hall on the following dates: Monday May 4, Tuesday, May 5 and Thursday May 7th from 6:30 -8:00 p.m. Please note: Forms must be completed in person on one of the above dates. Registration forms will not be mailed. Registration will be on a first-come basis.

If you have a child who will be entering the first grade this September, you will need to register them at this time.

Only the current 8th Graders need not register. They are already registered and will be receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation in the fall.

Candlelight Procession

All are invited to participate in the Candlelight procession in honor of Our Lady of Fatima on May 9, 2015 at 8:15 p.m. around the block of Corpus Christi Church. The celebration will start Mass at the 7:30 p.m. Portuguese Mass.

Faithfull Departed Memorial Society this

Loved ones will be included in the Faithful Departed Memorial Society of Corpus Christi Mass which is the first Monday of each month. (Civic holidays/Holy days 9:00 a.m.) Enrollment is for one full year (12 consecutive months). Offering is $50.00. Call the parish office to enroll a loved one.

The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick will be administered during the celebration of this Mass to those baptized Catholics needing to be anointed. In particular, we invite those of the faithful whose health is seriously impaired by sickness or the challenges of advancing age including those who are bearing the burden of physical, mental or emotional illness or who may be facing surgery.

The Apostolate for Military and Veteran Families will be hosting a Job Fair For Veterans on Thursday, May 7, 2015 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the St. John Neumann Pastoral Center, 146 Metlars Lane, Piscataway, NJ. The Job Fair is open to all active duty military, reserve, National Guard, veterans and their dependents.

Volunteers needed for Catholic

Charities Immigration Services

Bi-lingual volunteers are needed to help coordinate the flow of clients during Immigration Services “Open House” on Friday mornings between 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at 319 Maple Street, Perth Amboy. Responsibilities include escorting clients to the conference room from the main lobby to the first available Immigration case manager; keeping a list of the order of clients who are waiting to see someone; keeping the clients from walking around the building. Volunteers will be provided with an orientation including an overview of our immigration services. If you are someone you know may be interested in volunteering, please contact John Donnelly at 732-324-8200 for more information.
