Re:Council Committee Meeting Agendas

Council Committees will meet starting at 6:30 P.M. on Tuesday, July 19, 2011. Each committee meeting will commence immediately following the previous committee meeting. The following will comprise the agendas.

Buildings & Grounds Committee

  • Purchase requisition in the amount of $3,766.00 to Cleveland Vicon Company, Inc. for the replacement of a total of three steel entrance doors: two at the Blossom school building and annex for the amount of $2,510.67 charged to Acct.#110161 2601; and the basement door at the Brecksville Center for the Arts building for the amount of $1,255.33 charged to Acct.#110171 2601.
  • Blanket purchase requisition in an amount not to exceed $5,000.00 charged to Acct.#110161 2601 for parts, labor and installation to repair the Burnham boiler at Blossom Hill Bldg. #7 (main school building).
  • Request to increase Purchase Order #P110589 to Larsen Lumber & Supply Co. in the amount of $1,000.00 for additional AZEK materials for the roof trim replacement project at City Hall.
  • Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter an agreement with Floyd Browne Group for the preparation ofconstruction documents relative to a landscape plan for the Brecksville Bicentennial Memorial Project.
  • Other matters deemed appropriate.

Utilities Committee

  • Ordinance authorizing the Mayor and Acting Law Director, on behalf of the City, to employ special legal counsel to assist in the representation of the City and other municipalities as lead counsel under a joint representation agreement in pending litigation (NEORSD v. Bath Township, et al.)

Engineer’s Report:

  • Sanitary Study/Repair for Chippewa Creek Sewer Crossing behind 6958 Mill Road.
  • Ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with D & H Construction, Inc. for repairs to the Valleybrook Drive storm outfall.
  • Ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with of D & H Construction, Inc., for miscellaneous repairs to facilities owned by the City of Brecksville and located within the Chippewa Hills Development.

Updates:

  • Riverview Road Sanitary Improvements – Chippewa Rd. to Preston Village Dr.
  • Miscellaneous Storm Sewer Repair Projects.
  • Other matters deemed appropriate.

Finance Committee

  • A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with Productive Capital Management, Inc. for the provision of investment advice.
  • Ordinance to amend Ordinance No. 4604 making appropriations for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2011, making necessary revenue and appropriation adjustments.
  • Other matters deemed appropriate.
