Educational Qualification:
- Advance university degree in disaster management, development studies or other relevant subject.Priority will be given to candidates who demonstrate a high level of motivation and good communication, social, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Bangla English language typing. Required fluency in both spoken and written Bangla and English languages.
Experience:At least 6 years relevant working experience in Community Engagement and Accountability (CEA) in humanitarian and development field. Extensive experience in communication and diffusion strategies and techniques, reporting, documentation, publication, and audio-visual material preparation in relation to safeguarding and development fields.
Roles and Responsibility:
- Support BDRCS to implement Community Engagement and Accountability activities and use reference from the IFRC CEA guide
- Support the CEA intervention in displaced peoples settlement areas in Cox’s Bazar as per plan and provide guidance to volunteers in gathering feedback from communities and running information desks
- Maintain documentation of the feedbacks from communities for adjusting program interventions and reporting.
- Develop IEC materials in relation to information and feedback services together with consultation of the IFRC CEA focal.
- Support the Red Crescent Unit with necessary trainings and mentoring for volunteers on community engagement and accountability and conduct necessary meetings with Unit officials.
- Monitor the effectiveness of feedback mechanism and recommend necessary changes.
- Support the BDRCS to ensure that the Emergency Appeal is responsive to current and emerging humanitarian developments and CEA issues, including contingency planning and strategic changes. This may include the development of longer-term programming in the situation of protracted displacement.
- Strengthen the cooperation with ICRC in protection, advocacy and operational matters
- Coordinate and Communicate with communities (CwC) working group in Cox’s Bazar to share the updates of BDRCS’ interventions as well as looking into areas (e.g. perception survey, rumor tracking, etc) for working together with other agencies (e.g. IOM, UNICEF, etc)
- Ensure that best practices related to Community Engagement and Accountability as well as lessons learned are captured, exchanged and promoted.

Lateral relationships
- Establish and ensure effective working relationships with in country delegates/staff.
- Ensure effective working relationships with Federation, BDRCS, ICRC counterparts and leadership.
