  1. Approval of the Current Agenda & Past Meeting Minutes:

At this time the Petaluma Council shall review and approve the Agendas and Minutes -making additions and deletions as recommended.

Max moves to approve past meeting minutes, Heber seconds.

Public Comments (5 minutes per speaker, 15 minutes er topic):

Max: Tomorrow is Transvisiblity Day, wear pink and blue to support. There will be a booth at the Icecream Bar and Social, you will be able to get name tags that include your pronouns. This is being run by Tristan. 1pm-3pm, Our House.

Deb: Women in Technology Panel is tomorrow (Thursday) from 3:30pm-5:00pm, the folks coming to present will be from the Bay Area. Please come check it out it will be in Our House. If you are in Work Experience it counts as a work experience workshop.

At this time, members of the public may address the Petaluma Council. Those who wish to speak shall provide the Minute-Taker with their name and contact information before speaking; this information shall be noted in the minutes. No questions from the

III. Club Activation & Deactivation and Petaluma Council member Appointments & Removal:

Tiffany Karwoski has been removed from SGA, she resigned from her position.

At this time the Petaluma Council may Activate or Deactivate Petaluma Clubs, if they have their paperwork in order. When possible such activations and deactivations shall be Agendized before the Petaluma Council meeting.

IV. New Business:

A. A motion may come forth to request fund to buy food to accompany the video game tournament and free play. Event to be held 03/28/18

Move into discussion:

Thavisay: Same as last time, we bought enough for $100 and got rid of most of the food, we only had a few choices left. We went for healthier options which was well-received by the students. We’re asking for another $100 to pay for the food for this Throwdown Thursday. It will be a friendly tournament, Thavisay is coordinator and it will be MarioKart 8. 4 people racing per round, top two go to the next bracket, some items available. Free to all, it will be held in the dining commons PC 401 from 5pm-7pm.

Point of Inquiry: How much is in the budget? Shawn: We should amend the line item, there’s no money in that account.

Thavisay moves to amend the motion to change the budget line item from Petaluma Student Life to the Petaluma Trust account. Second: Hani, motion carries.

Hani: Do you stay later?

Thavisay: We often stay afterwards until 8:00pm or 8:30pm.

●Shawn was given a breakdown and had to add the funds spent for welcome week that weren’t taken out of the account yet. So we have a negative number that needs to be dealt with in the Student Life Account and the Petaluma Clubs Account.
●The Elections Candidate forum (Election Assembly) on April 10 here on the Petaluma Campus, it will be held at 12pm, all of the candidates will come talk about their platform, you can ask questions. And again elections week is APril 16-20th.

PETALUMA COUNCIL ADVISOR:
●We have large wooden A-frames from the Eagle Scouts, are clubs interested in using these? THe student life team is deciding how best to use them but we’d like to include student input.

●Elections are coming up. We have one person running for each seat. For the Petaluma seats we have Shawn running for Director of Clubs, Kaila is running for the Director Marketing and JC will be running for EVP once again.
●Kaila is the current student director for the Petaluma FIlm Festival, APril 6. The reception will be at 6:00pm, the screenings start at 7:00pm and will be shown in Carole Ellis Auditorium. The screeners watched ten hours of shows, the films are fifteen minutes or less, the committee has broken it down to an hour and a half show. The films come from all over Sonoma County.
●The Social Justice Conference is the following Friday, April 13, 9am-3pm, lunch will be provided. Please sign up online, it’s free to go.
●Toni- New A- frames. Can be used for club advertising. Events happening tomorrow.
●Feed the bears. Games, fun, volunteers,, get your hours. Wednesdays 10-2 are shifts.
●253 people picked up food today. That is 1000 lbs of food!

○Start promoting their dance tomorrow, it’s on April 6, Heber did the flyers today. 7pm, Dining Commons (PC 401). De-stress with the best at Spring Fest. $3 to get in, this will be a fundraiser and they will be selling food and drinks.
●Petaluma Gateway to College
○They got the lounge cleaned up and had the carpet cleaned over SPring Break. Will have new furniture donated in the fall. Looking for used furniture in the meantime.
●Petaluma Anime Club
○Nothing planned this week.They will be helping with the game night tomorrow evening. They will be showing Cowboy Bebop next month. It’s about space cowboys. It’s rated R. April 18, 5:00pm, PC 401.
●Petaluma E-gaming Club
○If we do another game night Thavisay would like to have more input and other clubs to come by. It’s a fun night and we’d like to see more new faces there.
●Black & Brown Union
○Luis will update us next week on anything that’s happening.
●Petaluma Drama Club
○They have a performance coming up on the 26 of April. They are having rehearsals. 3:30pm. It will be a variety show.
●Petaluma Sitting With Self
○The past three meetings haven’t had anyone to show up. Thinking of changing the day because the members haven’t been coming. Meetings on Wednesdays are currently in PC 229 at 4:00pm.
●Petaluma Real Debate Club
○Trying to talk to VP/Treasurer about availability, Hani is talking to Our House folks. Amanda will be helping out with the club to get everything set up.
