It’s summer time!!! Well, it isn’t but the information that follows is all about the SNIPS summer schemes 2015. Deadline day is WEDNESDAY 15th APRIL, any forms received after this date will placed on our waiting list.
At this stage, all I would like you to do is complete the enclosed Registration Form and Date Sheet and return them to the office either via post or email. If you have posted the forms, could I please ask you to double check that we have received them by giving us a call or sending a text as once the deadline has passed, it will be very difficult to do anything about lost forms. If you are emailing the information, we will confirm receipt immediately. We now also have an office based text service that we will be adding your mobile phone number to. This will enable us to send you important reminders regarding everything in the world of SNIPS. This number is 07914 857 658.
Please note, receipt of your forms DOES NOT guarantee your child a place on all dates requested. In addition to the forms we send out, we will be accepting referrals from The Disabled Children’s Team and Menphys SOS. Confirmation and payment information will be sent out a month before the schemes start.
The dates the schemes will be running can be found on the date sheet. In terms of which scheme your child is eligible for, this is decided by their age on the first day they attend. The cost per day remains at £17-50. Transport will hopefully be provided and we will be using the same sliding scale as last year. It will be £7-50 per day if you live within 5 miles of Hinckley, £10-00 if you live between 5 and 10 miles and £12-50 if you live more than 10 miles away.
In terms of the 3 schemes, ALLSORTZ stays the same as previous years in terms of venue and times etc. However, JCC is unavailable this year as there is significant building work taking place across the campus. This means that we will have a central base at the Mencap Centre in Hinckley as well as accessing other facilities across the county in our minibuses. Swimming will still be on offer in some form but more details will follow as and when I have booked additional venues. Cost and times we operate remain the same.
