6th Grade Math Final Exam Study Guide

Review handouts are given as homework on the day shown below. Students are to attempt the work. If it is not all completed, that is fine. I am looking for effort. Students should not spend more than 30 minutes at home on this review. This allows us to prepare for a comprehensive exam and allows students to ask questions on topics that may be giving them difficulty. We will go over handouts the next class day.

  • Find the area of triangles, quadrilaterals, circles, trapezoids (you must know the formulas)
  • Estimate the square root of a number
  • Use the Pythagorean theorem to find a side of a right triangle

CHAPTER 9 – Lessons 9-1, 9-2

  • Identify 3-D objects
  • Find the volume of prisms and cylinders
  • Know the formulas to find the volume of 3-D figures
