S52D Trail Reroute! This Spring the Club joined forces with the Oswego County ATV Club to reroute a trail (S52D) so snowmobiles and ATVs could access services along Route 13 in the Village of Pulaski. The nearly 1- mile trail had been previously closed by the landowner, for which Charlie Caprara purchased the land adjoining the closed trail and opened it for snowmobile and ATV use. The shared resources of the 2 clubs made the new trail happen, with over 600 yards of hauled in gravel and 100s of hours in donated labor by members of both clubs. Generous donations from local businesses – FX Caprara, Parker's Excavating, and Ponderosa Steakhouse helped to ease the project's financial burden to the clubs. Thank you also to Coffins Sand & Gravel and North Country Contracting who donated machinery to open first part of trail. The trail is now open to ATVs, and when the snow arrives this winter it will be groomed and open to snowmobiles. THANK YOU to all who took time out of their busy schedule to rebuild this missing link. See more pictures on page 2.

WATCH for the new Caprara Outdoor Toy Store to be built soon behind the car dealerships, right off the ATV/Snowmobile trail. The new location will feature gas and accessory shop.

PLEASE SUPPORT THE LOCAL BUSINESSES WHO SUPPORT SNOWMOBILING!

Making A Difference!

So, how many miles did you get to ride this year? What did you encounter on the trail? Did you see anything unusual? See any marks where people rode outside the stakes or completely missed a turn? All of these thoughts make you wonder...

We had some groomer issues but all in all we continued to maintain the trails. There can never be enough thank-you's said. Last year we held a groomer operator course in the Fall which added to our staff of operators, mechanics, and repairers.

Can you make a difference? Can you find an hour or two out of your time this summer or fall to help out? Some have said … they weren't sure what they could do? Don't be afraid. We need our sign posts painted, the facility grounds cleaned up and mowed all season, bridge building, and obviously groomer maintenance. The season never stops just because the groomer is put away. Work is year round. So when you are out enjoying the trails, there are volunteers committing hours all year working on these machines.

Can you make a difference? Got any ideas on more fundraisers? Wanna raffle something off? Do you think we can sell enough tickets to cover our cost of such a large fundraiser? Do we have anyone that wants to chair this type of event? These are all the things that come up every year but we end up with same people working all the events. We need some new faces. Is that you?
