JOB PURPOSE: Briefly describe the overall purpose or function of the job
To support, build and deliver IAPB's communication content by increasing the effectiveness of IAPB’s web assets and by assisting with the delivery of the IAPB communications strategy.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1 / Maintain high-quality websites, micro-sites and web products that help IAPB meet its communication needs, with a focus on User interface design.
2 / Work to create JS & HTML/CSS markup and templates with a strong focus on clarity, maintainability, flexibility, cross-browser compatibility and performance
3 / To manage and implement all the IAPB newsletters and e-blasts, with relevant content and inputs, along with the manager.
4 / Actively participate in planning, developing, testing, and delivery of communications activities related to digital content and to clarify and meet user goals
5 / To manage existing social media avenues for IAPB, to push out relevant content and build presence on Twitter and Facebook.
4 / To monitor and generate reports using Google (and any other relevant) analytics software, and use this information to inform decision-making on the IAPB websites.
5 / To work with the Manager and other colleagues to ensure consistent, good-quality digital presence.
6 / To support communications needs around major events such as the IAPB Council of Members and General Assembly and other significant global and regional meetings.
JOBHOLDER ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: In a series of brief statements identify the essential knowledge, skills and behaviours required.
Knowledge (Education & Related Experience):
- 5+ years demonstrated expertise in creating user interfaces with JavaScript, HTML/5 , & CSS3.
- Proven knowledge of responsive and usable web design practices, including cross-browser and device compatibility issues and limitations
- Functional knowledge of PhotoShop and other relevant software.
- Experience of working with teams, especially international teams.
Skills (Special Training or Competence):
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong programming skills in HTML, CSS and Javascript
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- High attention to detail and pixel-perfect execution
- Good team skills
