-Prepare sticky notes with the questions from page 86 and place them on the appropriate page in a Student Book you will use for your IRA.
- Create the Realistic Fiction Anchor Chart with your students

-Students read independent realistic fiction text (Journeys selection or leveled reader).

summary together. Write the summary on the bottom of the Summarizing Fiction Anchor Chart
-Students use independent realistic fiction text (Journeys selection or leveled reader) to complete the same graphic organizer in their Reader’s Notebook or on the handout provided.

Teacher begins reading selection whole group with students reviewing plot sequence. Students then work in pairs to finish reading the selection.
Teacher monitors and facilitates pairs.
-Students use the selection to complete the same plot line graphic organizer from Wednesday in their Reader’s Notebook or on the handout provided and write a summary with a partner. Share created summaries with whole group.

The CLLG has a list of Realistic Fiction selections in the Journeys book and of the leveled readers on pg.102 for the students to use for independent reading
