AHC50110 Diploma ofAgriculture
This is a nationally recognized qualification and training is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth government funding for eligible individuals.
Overview
AHC50110 Diploma of Agriculture qualification reflects the role of individuals working on farms and stations who manage enterprise production and employees. Job titles relevant to this qualification include:
- Farm Production Manager
- Production Unit Manager
- Station/Property Manager
Delivery Structure
The course will be delivered over 18 to 24 months, depending on the experience of the individual learner and mode of delivery. The training is offered at various locations across Victoria, and may be completed as an Australian Apprenticeship in the workplace.
For those studying the Diploma program contextualised for the Poultry sector, the qualification is delivered via 9 workshops each varying in length from 1 to 5 days, in addition to workplace visits, assessments and workplace projects conducted over 1 – 4 months each. Training is typically conducted from May to November each year (for both a year 1 and year 2 group, equating to 18 months in total). Given there are no pre-requisites within the qualification itself, students can commence in either group (i.e., Year 1 or Year 2).
Pathways and Recognition
No pre-requisite units are required to complete this qualification. 4 Up Skilling Pty Ltd has applied the following pre-requisites regarding this qualification:
- It is essential that participants complete the 4 Up Skilling Pty Ltd Pre Course Review (LLN) successfully (see form USLLN).
- Participants must be employed as a manager or supervisor (or equivalent role) in the specified sector
- Participants must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
The successful completion of AHC40110 Certificate IV in Agriculture and /or a minimum of 3 years employment in the agriculture sector would be an advantage. AHC50110 Diploma of Agriculture applicants have the opportunity to apply for RPL and mutual recognition (see Recognition of Prior Learning).
Students who have completed this qualification may continue their studies in an Advanced Diploma of Agriculture. Higher level training is also available at a Degree level.
Costs
The cost of the Diploma of Agriculture qualification is approximately $1488 for eligible students ($1.20 per enrolled hour) and approximately $1860 for ineligible students ($1.50 per enrolled hour). Costs will vary depending on the electives chosen. Please contact 4 Up Skilling to discuss eligibility requirements.
Fee Schedule:
- Payment of up to $1500 is payable on enrolment or prior to commencement of training (depending on elective units chosen).
- Any remaining fees are payable in 3 months from commencement of the course.

- Cheque
- Direct Debit
Part Payment Plans may be arranged after consultation with the Training Manager. 4 Up Skilling do not accept prepaid fees in excess of $1500.

Packaging rules:
The Diploma of Agriculture is made up of 10 elective units of competency which must be packaged as follows:
- Min 5 units from group A
- Min 3 units from groups A or B
- Max 2 units from group C (units aligned to Certificate IV, Diploma or Advanced Diploma in AHC10 or from any other currently endorsed Training Package or accredited course. Selected units must be relevant to job outcomes in agriculture).
