Adrian (Bonney Lake): Marketing getting out of print advertising and moving to social marketing and email. Tried a snowman building contest when the store was closed and got a lot of response from the customers. It was a great way to connect with the customers when the store was closed. Please come to the CHA marketing focus group I’m involved with at CHA.

Craig McGovern (Grass Valley) – Number one item is the TRP kissing ball ornaments. THL was also our top 6 items. For our open house we held it all day with Santa bucks. This way the customers can write their own ad. Tami creates a letter for vendor donation requests for open house and we got a lot of response.

Jayna (Monroe) – RAZ has a $22.00 cost/$69.99 retail 18x24 canvas that lights up with a fiber optics with a corner push button on/off switch. – Jay may be negotiating a container on these for a group buy. We did well with the simple SUT. DIB continues to be a top seller for us.

Ronell (Helena) – YOR/2818 Santa suite fits a wine bottle this is a great gift giving item.

Dean (Iowa City) – We did well with the indoor snowball fight. Aprons were big for us along with the texting dictionary. Demdeco has a line called family and all the artists live close to us So we try to have the artist in for a signing.

Jay (Waite Park) –VIS/23 tray sold 960 at a 65 gross. GBA 886, GBA 771 was our top filler items. HEB 335 was a good item to put on magnets and put on the wire home décor trees. We are looking at getting the VIS tray in walnut too for better sales in fall.

Emma (Pocatello) – We took the VIS tray and put a nativity vinyl on it. We also took the fun foam to show how to use the tray as a cheese and cracker tray.

Jay (Waite Park) – Our top items are the MCS shadowbox frames they sell the patterned and vinyl to go with it. It’s all about the add on sales. Black is still our best seller.

Emma (Pocatello) – The DPA/1 advent tree was really good for us. When we ran out of the SPC tree we brought in the SBARS wood advent tree. DOU snow filler sold out for us. Wax melts do well for us because it goes with the Scentsy home party products everyone has now. At our open house we gave away a pinecone charger plate with a $40 purchase, and a SBARS reusable bag with a $10 purchase. For Day after Thanksgiving our rewards program members we let them shop our Day after Thanksgiving sales the M, T, W before thanksgiving sales it really saved us.

Kathy (Louisville) – As seen on Pinterest there are a lot of pins about House Rules. We had Elizabeth from Decorating your Life create sayings in different fonts all the same length to go down a canvas or board.

Jenny (Hawaii) – The plastic ornaments from Darice #261061 did well…we filled them with colored beads and painted them like angry birds. We are excited about the Halloween headbands and the animal print Christmas theme.

Craig (Grass Valley) – As usual the calendars continue to do well for us. We have 16 spinner racks that we bring in at the end of July. We go to 50% off at the end of January. By that time we hardly have any left.

John (Waite Park) – Redneck wine glasses are huge for us. We are buying the canning jars down the road. It is a great easy program.

Neil (Redmond) – The plain Putnam snow sold well for us. Pottery barn had it in a PVC box for $9.99. We ran out of Hongyuan this year so we are buying deep this year. Geo mesh is good for us…thank you Larry and Kathy!

Audrey (Idaho Falls) – The new cabinet doors from NST have been huge at the area craft shows. They are adding vinyl, ribbon, and embellishments.

Rob (Camas) - The East Town Letters continue to be successful with our stores we did $46,000 retail with a 60% margin. DPA 1 we sold 800 pieces. NST 190 we sold 10,000 units at a 60% margin
