UPDATE ON ACTIVITIES FROM LAST REPORT OF KIFFA

THE CONSTRUCTION OF AIRCARGO WAREHOUSE AT INCHEON DUTY FREE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AREA FOR THE KIFFA MEMBERS

The KIFFA is establishing a duty free warehouse at Incheon Int’l Airport. The total size of the warehouse is approximately 80,000㎡. This facilities will be utilized by 48 KIFFA members and the construction will be completed before the year of 2006.

After completion, the participants of this project will save a tremendous amount of logistics expenses and at the same time they can solve the shortage of warehouse space for both export and import cargoes throughout the year.

REPUBLICATION OF TRAINING MATERIAL

The KIFFA has one year training program for all member agents who wish to attend the class voluntarily. The class will be held in every month as scheduled with the qualified instructors. The classes are from short term and up to regular yearly based class such as basic aircargo business, practical aircargo handling method, ocean forwarding business, handling dangerous goods , practical English conversation and written English communication, etc. The contents of training materials are usually amend every first part of the year by gathering up-to-date data from various sources.

THE LEGAL CONSULTANT FOR THE MEMBERS’CLAIM

KIFFA provided legal consulting with juridical counselor of the association.

This service has been providing to members since 1997 as free of charge. This year, it was provided 36times. And also KIFFA is assisting the tax problem since 1999 by KIFFA licensed tax accountant.

AUTHORIZED TRAINING CENTER OF IATA

Recently we have applied for ATC(Authorized Training Center) approval to the IATA in Montreal.

KIFFA TRAINING PROGRAM 2004

KIFFA has been providing seven training courses for it's members since 1986.

It's nominated an official training course in forwarding field by Korean

Government and therefore from 70% to 100% of training fee shall be compensated by Government after completion of the courses.
