JOB DESCRIPTION

GENERAL JOB:

Monitoring of the daily and monthly general service and body repair sales

Ensure smooth work flow in the service area

Monitoring of parts availability/ inventory

Monitor attendance of technicians and service advisors

Coordinate with insurance companies regularly

Scheduling and regulating dates for acceptance and return, taking into consideration the wishes of the customer, workshop capacities and the periods of time necessary for obtaining spare parts

Offering customer support before and after work has been carried out on the vehicle

Diagnosing what was wrong with the vehicle, determining the work to be carried out, either by taking sole responsibility or consulting the technical specialist

Advising the customer on the work to be executed

Promoting and selling all services offered by the dealer

Preparing the cost estimate and completing the repair order form

Planning and assigning the task to the workshop

Monitoring the prescribed sequence of work and ensuring that deadlines are observed

Notifying the customer of any deadline extensions and recommending any additional work, which may have to be executed

Checking the invoice and completing the documents to be given to the customer

Explaining to the customer about the work that has been performed and the charges in the invoice, advice on matters concerning vehicle maintenance and future work including advice on vehicle care

Perform final check-up on the vehicle before release. Check if all customer request was attended

Collection of payments or referring the customer to the employee responsible for collection, invoicing in the case of cash payment

Assisting the customer to the releasing area for proper turn-over of the vehicle

Make sure that the vehicle is clean before release.

Return all used parts to the customer (properly tagged)

Perform post service follow-up on the vehicle

Participate in regular service meeting

JOB DESCRIPTION

BODY REPAIR:

Prepares estimate (damage portion)

Instruct customers for the insurance requirements insurance claim)

Submit claims on selected insurance

Coordinate with insurance if there’s an additional repair

Assign jobs/tasks to contractors

Order parts once the LOA is available

Coordinate with insurance and customer, update customer and insurance on the repair

JOB DESCRIPTION

SERVICE DEPARTMENT SUPERVISION:

Performs supervisory responsibilities by overseeing contractors and technicians, staffing requirements, work schedules, monitoring of work progress, estimates and workplans for the efficient deployment of the maintenance workforce and providing status reports to senior management

Supervises independently and in harmony with the automotive shop foreman and communicates with the superiors and subordinates.

Schedules and implements the smooth flow of general shop repairs and preventive maintenance workload

Act as an over-all Officer-in-Charge as designated by the Operations Manager
