Agenda –

Roll Call –Kevin Pietsch, Pat & Gail Marsholek, Denise Dube, Steve Campbell, Hope & Steve Grimm, Garth Lotts, John Hurd, Liz Bryland (sp?) and Traci Braiedy

Old Business –

  • Scholarships – paperwork and Check submitted – Steve?
  • Steak Fry Date is set for Friday Oct 13 and will not be changed even though there is a home football game (v Centennial)
  • Booster Club calendar – on line – need to set access and start using asap – need google calendar sign in from Calen so that we can update calendar
  • Email from Tammie Dixon –(Garth, I do apologize for not responding sooner as I have been away from the office and am just not getting to your email. As far as services I provide...I can help find volunteers for any activities you all are doing as I have a database of almost 200 volunteers. I also make sure we have a volunteer application and background check run for all the volunteers that are considered volunteer coaches.Is there anything in particular you are looking for? We are always open to finding new ways to support our groups and teams.) Still not sure if she’s able to assist us but keep her in mind
  • From Calen - waiting for response onIdentity Stores as Spirit Wear apparel if they'll donate our tryout/training shirts again. Should know in the next wk or two.

New Business –

  • Budget – Steve Nichols (N/A)
  • From Calen –“I'm going to need help with planning our out of town trip. Trying to lock in Duluth. Will need help getting hotels and submitting request for bus. Aug 18-19. We have a spot in a round robin scrimmage with competitive teams, just need to establish hotels and pay entry fee for it. Assign someone to contact me for further logistics. Thanks” Dan, John & Steve will work together on this with Calen butneed to know how many teams (approx.. how many girls/chaperones are we talking about
  • From Calen-Just an FYI “We also lost our B squad coach (Sam Zog), moving to San Diego. Big bummer, will be emailing Mattson this wk to put out a posting for it.”
  • Ordering Adidas Shorts for “New” JV uniforms – about 24…. Hope will check out prices
  • 2017 Programs – See letter for 2016 pricing
  • Much discussion on this….. Kevin will revamp the letter to include several options including sponsoring a Half Time Toss and giving a Gift Card to the winner
  • Garth & Kevin will ask Mattson if we can have banners up for possible sponsors –
  • Marsolek’s will check on Banner prices
  • Non-varsity Team event…. UofMN game was a suggestion for Calen, any others?

New Fundraising ideas –

  • Meat Raffle – can we make any money off these?
  • Half-time ball toss sponsors – see above
