2nd Line Citrix Support Engineer

Purpose of role
Cased Dimensions Ltd are currently seeking suitable candidates for a number of Second line Citrix Support Engineers. This is a highly specialised technical role within the Service Department, and is responsible for providing 2nd line telephone & remote IT support to a wide range of external clients. Location / Belfast / Hours / Shift patterns 7am to 3.30pm /9am to 5.30pm/10.30am to 7.00pm

Key Responsibilities / As an experienced 2nd Line Support Engineer you will be responsible for;
·  Monitoring, managing and troubleshooting live environments,
·  Day to day management of a number of both physical and virtual servers spanning multiple domains, including the patching and updating of related infrastructure and VDI desktops.
·  Incident resolution,
·  Applying root cause analysis to problems and have solid experience of change control systems
·  Ensuring that all system enhancements and service improvements, as defined in user requirements, are fit for purpose and applied correctly
·  Travel to various on-site locations as and when required
Knowledge and Qualifications / Essential Criteria
·  Current experience of Citrix 7.6 architecture including Xenapp, PVS and Netscaler
·  3 years + experience of providing IT support services or equivalent experience of customer facing Technical services.
·  A fundamental technical understanding of Microsoft Technologies including Server 2008 R2 / 2012, Active Directory including VMM and Hyper-V 2012
·  Experience in providing 2nd/3rd Line Support to Citrix Environment
·  Virtual Desktop deployment experience using Citrix Xenapp
·  Understanding and experience of Group Policies and User Profile management - including user state virtualisation / optimisation
·  Understanding of Citrix Receiver client across platforms
·  Understanding of Citrix Storefront / Web Interface Configuration
·  Experience of working within an ITIL environment
Desirable Criteria
·  Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) 6.5 or higher Certification
·  Integration experience with SCCM would be beneficial
