A business need is any improvement required to meet production targets.

An individual client’s primary production system is a primary production system that is part of a wider industry but is specifically operated by an individual e.g. an individual client’s dairy farm, kiwifruit orchard, or pork farm.

Industry best practice is determined by relevant industry peak bodies, and government agencies and is supported by data and other information from these organisations, e.g. DairyNZ and Ministry for Primary Industries.

Standard Operating Procedures refers to written or verbal workplace processes and expectations as outlined in position descriptions, person specifications and other workplace policies, and may also include expectations around workplace culture that reflect the expected behaviour when working for a rural servicing company.

2 Any analysis of the individual’s primary production system would need to take into consideration data from the relevant industry peak bodies, client accounts and records and any relevant government organisations, e.g. Ministry for Primary Industries.
