Purpose / This unit standard is for people working in the irrigation industry, and recognises the knowledge and skills required to plan and carry out an irrigation system performance assessment for an agricultural or horticultural property, sports turf, or public ground.

Outcomes and evidence requirements

Outcome 1

Plan an irrigation system performance assessment.

Evidence requirements

1.1Collates information prior to the visit in accordance with the New Zealand Piped Irrigation System Performance Assessment Code of Practice.

1.2 Producesa plan for an assessment performance visitin accordance with the New Zealand Piped Irrigation System Performance Assessment Code of Practice.

Outcome 2

Conduct on-site irrigation system performance assessment.

Evidence requirements

2.1Carries out pre-start checks in accordance with the New Zealand Piped Irrigation System Performance Assessment Code of Practice.

2.2 Carries out the assessment in accordance with the New Zealand Piped Irrigation System Performance Assessment Code of Practice.

2.3Recordsthe results of the assessment in accordance withthe New Zealand Piped Irrigation System Performance Assessment Code of Practice.
