1Definition

Outcomes and evidence requirements

Outcome 1

Weigh and dispense concrete mix components for prescribed mixes for concrete pipe manufacture.

Evidence requirements

1.1Concrete mix components are selected to achieve the prescribed mix design.

Rangecomponents – cement, sand, aggregate, admixtures, additives, water.

1.2Concrete mix components are dispensed into weigh hoppers or gauge boxes and mixing bowl in accordance with workplace practice.

Outcome 2

Mix and discharge concrete for concrete pipe manufacture.

Evidence requirements

2.1Equipment is verified as complying with tolerances in accordance with workplace practice.

2.2Concrete mixing equipment is cleaned and operated in accordance with workplace practice.

2.3Mix is discharged in accordance with workplace practice.

Outcome 3

Complete work operations.

Evidence requirements

3.1All operations are safely completed, workplace and equipment are cleaned in accordance with workplace practice and environmental safety requirements, and routine maintenance is carried out in accordance with workplace practice.

3.2All documentation is completed in accordance with workplace practice.
