Use this Section to specify Contractor's responsibilities for overhead service and service entrance. Coordinate this Section with Section 012114ServiceConnections. Ensure that Section 012114 specifies scope of work that will be performed by Utility. Utility charges for service lines and connections will normally be included as a cash allowance.

1.2COORDINATION
.1Coordinate utility service entrance location and mounting height with Utility.
1.3SUBMITTALS
.1Provide required information in accordance with Section013300 –Submittals.
.2Action Submittals: Provide the following submittals before starting any work of this Section:
.1Product Data: Submit manufacturer’s product data for accessories proposed for use on the project before ordering materials for Consultant’s review and acceptance.
.3Sustainable Design Submittals: Coordinate project sustainable design requirements with Section013518 – LEED Requirements.
1.4QUALITY ASSURANCE
.1Regulatory Requirements: Install materials in accordance with governing standards, requirements of electric utility and Authority Having Jurisdiction.
.2Certifications; Provide the following during the course of the Work:
.1Compliance Certification: Provide certificates from manufacturer indicating tested performance requirements required by Authorities Having Jurisdiction and as specified in this Section.
1.5DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING
.1Separate waste materials for [reuse] [and] [recycling] in accordance with Section 017419 Waste Management and Disposal.

2.1SERVICE ENTRANCE
.1Service entrance mast:[tubular metal] [fabricated heavy duty galvanized steel] [wood] suitable for attachment of support clamps, service rack, weatherhead or service drop fittings as required.
.2Service rack:[1] [2] [3] [4] point, [medium] [heavy] duty.
.3Weatherhead:[cast metal] [plastic].
3.Execution
3.1INSTALLATION
.1Install service mast to height indicated on drawings.
.2Install [galvanized rigid steel] [electrical metallic tubing] conduit to service entrance disconnect.
.3Install service rack on [mast] [building] for utility service cable attachment.
.4Install conductors from service entrance disconnect to [meter base and] [] weatherhead. Allow [1] []m of service drop conductor at weatherhead location for utility connection.
.5Seal service entrance conduit at weatherhead and service entrance disconnect with [ductseal compound] [] after installation of conductors.
