The Parade MC will announce your group as you approach the reviewing stand. If you would like, please attach a brief statement that you’d like announced to the Parade audience. For instance: name, where you’re from, a brief statement of who/what your group is, and any community service work performed. (We reserve the right to edit for space and consistency of announcement style.)
TOUR de TERRACE
A FESTIVAL FOR THE COMMUNITY - A SEAFAIR SANCTIONED EVENT
Dear Parade Participant,
We invite you to participate in the sixteenth Annual Tour de Terrace Parade. This year’s parade will take place at 7:00 PM on Friday, July 27th (Check in begins at 5:30 PM). The parade is the kickoff event for our three-day summer festival. The Tour de Terrace is a Seafair sanctioned event.
To have your entry in the parade, please fill out the attached application form and return it to the Tour de Terrace no later than July 23. Applications received after July 23 will be admitted to the parade on a space available basis.
Your signature on the application confirms that you have read and accepted Tour de Terrace’s rules and regulations as outlined at the bottom of this page. In addition, you will also need to provide proof of insurance or certificate of liability insurance for any vehicle(s) used in the parade.

TOUR DE TERRACE - RULES & REGULATIONS
1.The Tour de Terrace Board of Directors and Parade Chair reserve the right to bar or remove from the parade any entry refusing to follow any or all instructions from parade officials, Seafair Parade Marshals, or law enforcement officers.
- Entries are by Invitation only and must be approved by the Tour de Terrace Board of Directors. Refusals will be notified
by July 18th, otherwise assume you are included.
3.Consumption or possession of alcoholic beverages or any other illegal substances is forbidden on or around the parade route or in any of the event areas, except the specified area of the Beer Garden.
4.Parade officials will enforce a space of 5O feet between each unit. All units are required to close the gap between units when ordered by parade officials.
5.Entries failing to appear at the parade without prior notification to Tour de Terrace, or entries not complying with all the rules and regulations as set forth, will jeopardize future invitation to participate in Tour de Terrace parades.
6.Squirt guns, silly string or any other items deemed potentially dangerous to spectators or participants are strictly forbidden. Final determination whether an item may be used is left up to the Parade Chair.
7.Throwing of any materials including candy from vehicles or floats is forbidden for safety reasons. Candy and other handouts may be handed to spectators, one on one only. Any activity that causes spectators to run into the flow of the parade is forbidden.
8.Music is to be kept to a moderate level during the parade. It is not to be so loud as to drown out the music of other participants in the parade.
9.No vendor will be allowed to walk the parade route to sell goods. Parade Marshals, Police and TDT staff will monitor and direct vendors off the parade route.
