25 GREAT FUNDRAISING IDEAS

1.  Buy John Baguley’s book from Svitlana Kuts.

2.  Join the Institute of Fundraising.

3.  Run events for profit and publicity.

4.  Test every new idea on a small scale first.

5.  Become the mayor of your town’s charity of the year.

6.  Ask to speak to the US staff of US companies in Ukraine – they understand fundraising.

7.  Hold at least one ‘open day’ a year. Let everyone see how good you are at your work.

8.  Invite your favourite celebrity to be a patron of your charity.

9.  Write and tell your clients stories: how they were – how they changed – how they are now.

10.  Write to the wives of rich men – write to the husbands of rich women: invite them to meet you.

11.  Plan to increase your income from Ukrainians to 10% of your total income – then by 10% a year.

12.  Test direct mail.

13.  Put counter cans in shops – have them specially made for your charity.

14.  Tell people what your clients’ need not your organisation.

15.  Give your organisation a colour and a slogan.
