Enfield Carers Centre is a charity which supports family/unpaid carers and aims to improve their quality of life. The charity was formed in 2010 and provides a range of services such as support groups, counselling, training, advocacy and legal information.

One of our aims is to ensure that Carers don’t fall into financial hardship and enjoy a life outside caring.

We have been awarded Trusted Assessor Status by Enfield Council and we’re now expanding our Carers Assessment Team. We need to recruit another Officer to complete assessments, reviews and support plans via home visits and office appointments.

Essential skills:Report writing & excellent communication skills are essential; knowledge of carer & disability-related legislation; 3yrs min. work experience in health & social care sector; commitment to equal opps; an awareness of issues affecting a multi-cultural community; understanding of relationships between the Council, Health Authority and the 3rd sector as well as a commitment to the needs of carers. You’ll need to be an approachable, professional, flexible individual who can deal tactfully and sensitively with others, manage a demanding workload, and be a good team player.

·  Based at Enfield Carers Centreand working from satellite locations throughout the borough.

·  Working days are Mon-Fri 9am-5pm, although occasionalevening work and rare weekend working is included for which Time Off In Lieu(TOIL) will be given.

·  Subject to an enhanced CRB/DBS check

·  Applicants must have a car and a full driving licence. NB. The successful applicant will have to declare business use on their car insurance policy.

This post is contracted for one year and subject to renewed funding from Enfield Council
