A large number personnel of the Armed forces are retired / released every year at a comparatively younger age .The officers amongst them come from different disciplines and academic qualifications and are a valuable human resource who can find place in the corporate world. They are trained during their service in many spheres of Administration, Material management, Personnel management, possess leadership qualities and are effective in environment of the Armed forces .In order to be effective these officers are required to be trained in different management disciplines in Management Institutes.
The Directorate-General of Resettlement (DGR), Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has nominated Institute of Management Technology Ghaziabad to conduct the 24 week Certificate programme in Business Management from January 18 to July 3, 2010, to hone their skills and get employment in the corporate world.
Our institute has been ranked consistentlyamongst the top ten B-Schools in the country , we are located in NCR with easy access from Delhi , Noida , Gugaon , Meerut .We are offering accommodation in our Hostels .
Objectives
The programme is developed for Officers to enhance their qualifications to seek suitable employment in civilian life after retirement from service. The programme aims at

- Inculcate social and ethical values coupled with professional competence
- Preparing the officer as value drivers and encouraging continuous professional and personal growth
Programme Coverage
The 24 week Certificate programme is a comprehensive curriculum to cover the core subjects in management; these are condensed courses of the Post –Graduate Diploma in Business Management. This will have six Modules comprising of theory and real life projects. First 5 modules will have theory supplemented with applications and the last modules will have industry internship followed by a dissertation. Each module will have 4 papers of 30 hrs each. Specializations will be offered in the areas of Marketing Management, Financial Management, Human Resource Management, Operation Management and Information Technology. Participants will have a choice to specialize in one or two functional areas subject to a minimum number of 15 participants in each subject of specialization.

Pedagogy
The programme will be conducted by our team of eminent faculty with classroom interaction with the officer through interaction during lectures, case –studies, project assignment , presentations with a blend of strong industry inputs given by the various practicing managers.

The curriculum maintains a healthy balance between depth and breadth of knowledge and skills thus combining a strong conceptual base with exposure to contemporary practices and trends.
Evaluation
The participants will be evaluated on a continiuos basis through quizzes , assignments tests and examination during each term. The participants need to attend classes regularly minimum criteria is of 85% to be eligible to appear for the examinations.
