32nd Annual Solomons Christmas Walk | Nov 30th to Dec 3rd, 2016

Dear Solomons Business Association Member,

It is once again time for us to announce Solomons Christmas Walk 2016 and to ask for your support and participation in this year’s events. With your help we would like to make this holiday event more successful than ever.

This year we also hope to secure several corporate sponsors. Sponsorship is a great way to showcase your business and your participation as a member of the Solomons Business community. Talk to us about marketing opportunities.

The holiday theme for 2016 is all things Toys & Children. We will be collecting Toys at various points, TBA in the CW Christmas Program.

Wednesday 30th November – 6:30pm Judging of Best Decorated Home & Business. Special points for Toy & Children theme! Prizes announced & awarded on Thursday night at Christmas Party at Blue Heron Inn.

Thursday 1st December – Christmas Party at Blue Heron Inn - all welcome, bring toys- cost $30 per person.

Friday December 2nd – Christmas Gift Market in Park near Kingfisher’s Restaurant, 2pm to 9pm |At dusk enjoy luminaries lit streets along the River walk | 6:30pm Santa and his elf arrive by Fire truck to switch on our Christmas Tree lights | 7:30pm Children’s Magic Christmas show at Our Lady Star of The Sea.

Saturday December 3rd Enjoy strolling luminaries lit streets along the River walk, visit our restaurants & shops for holiday cheer | 6:30 pm watch the Solomons Annual Lighted Boat Parade, visible from Back Creek to Patuxent River walk.

To become a vendor at the Christmas gift Market on Friday 3rd 2pm to 9pm, weather permitting, please contact Jen Stotler on 301-247-7611 or email her at . Vendor cost for the day $75.

Luminary buckets are becoming scarce and expensive to replace. Please see notice attached.

check your storage areas for last year’s & past year’s accumulation of buckets. We would like to collect them by November 25th. Give me a call on 240-577-1617 and I will arrange pick up so that we can count them and redistribute for this year. We noticed an excess of luminaries last year on Dowell Rd while we scarcely had enough to cover the River walk area. So please be fair and return those luminaries in your basement.
