Championship Venue

Enghelab sport complex

Note: for boys' semi finals onwards, the matched will be conducted in Mehregan Glass court in Mehregan Squash Club.

Championship Office

The main Championship Office will be located at Enghelab squash club.There will also be an office at the Championship Hotel; Both offices will be opened from 09:00 – 19:00 from 22nd to 28th August 2015.

Press Office

The Press Office will be located at the Championship Venue and will be open and available to the press during championship office hours. There will be access to phone, fax, e-mail and internet.

Accommodation

The entry fees cover six (6) nights' accommodation and breakfast, from noon 22ndAugust to noon 28th August 2015. All additional rooms and rooms booked for extra nights must be paid by the occupants. All players must settle the bill for all their extras to Iran squash Federation before departure.

CAP

The Championship Adjudicating Panel shall be chaired by the ASF Technical Delegate and shall include the Championship Director and shall comprise of at least three other members selected from the ASF Championships Committee, ASF Seeding Committee, or person(s) with experience of this Championship who are expected to attend the event.

If a member of the CAP is from an MNA that is involved in or associated with an appeal, then the ASF Technical Delegate shall co-opt a neutral person for that appeal from the ASF Championships Committee or from one of the members of the ASF ManCom or any experienced team official in attendance.

ASF Seeding Committee

ASF Seeding Committee will produce the final individual seeding as soon as the entries are closed. The draw will be made and announced on or before14th August 2015.The decision of the ASF seeding committee shall be final.

Regulations

The Championships will be run in accordance with the ASF Championship Regulations.

National flags (Teams)

Teams are requested to bring their national flag. Please hand it to the Championship Office at the Venue, upon arrival.

Costs Incurred

All players and officials will be responsible for all extras incurred at the hotel and venues, other than breakfast, which will be provided.

The Tournament and Related Info

Official Ball

The Dunlop Revelation Pro XX (double yellow dot) ball will be the official ball for the championships.

Team Manager’s Meetings

There will be a team managers meeting at the Championship Hotel on 22nd August 2015 at 16:00. If further meetings are required, a notice will be placed on the Information Board and in all Team Mail Boxes.

Eligibility

All players are required to provide their WSF SPIN Number on the player submission form (Form C) which should be submitted on 13th July 2015.

All managers are required topresent the passports of their players to the Technical Delegate – to confirm eligibility before being permitted to compete. This has to be done by 22nd August, 2015 at the Championship Office at the Main Venue.

Participation

Each member nation will be allowed an initial maximum of two players in each category. If there are slots available after the closing date, member nations shall be allowed to enter two additional players, which will be allocated as follows:

a.First on merit to players ranked in the PSA/WSA/ASF as per rankingspublished on or before the Closing Date.

b.To higher ranked players as determined by the ASF Seeding Committee.

c.If there are more than 64 entries, players will be placed on a reserve list and can be called upon to play if slots become available due to withdrawals.

If there are still slots available, the host nation may enter a maximum of four additional players.

The Championship is open to all Asian juniors provided that player has not been banned by the Asian Squash Federation. Each player can enter only ONE division in his/her age category or in a higher age category, if so desired.

Tournament Format for singles events:

Scoring & Format

All matches will be played to the best of 5 games, 11 points – PAR (Point-A-Rally). WSF Rules of the World Singles Game will be applied throughout the tournament.All players are guaranteed A MINIMUM OF 2 MATCHES.Players will be expected to play two matches a day.

Main Draw - There shall be no play-off for 3rdposition or any other position (3rdplace trophy to both losing semi-finalists of Main Draw).

Plate Events - There shall be a championship plate event for first round losers and a classic plate event for 2nd round losers. There shall be no play-off for 3rd position or any other position (trophy to winner and runner-up of plate event).

Tin Height

In accordance with WSF and ASF practice for World and Asian Championships, the tin height for all junior championships shall be 19 inches.

Team Management

Upon arrival at the Championships, Team Managers will be the official and sole representative of their players in all matters, except when an individual match has started, when the Rules of the Singles game shall apply. At all other times the Team Manager shall act for all members of their team in receiving and giving instructions.

Entry Fee

Entry fee of USD300.00 per player/official only for first two players for each category and first two officials for each MNF covers 6 nights’ accommodation from 22nd to 28th August 2015 on twin sharing basis with breakfast.

Additional two players for each category and additional two officials for each MNF will be required to payUSD350.00 per player/official, also on twin sharing with breakfast. There will be no refund for unused nights. Check out by 14:00 on 28th August 2015.

For a single room, the rate is USD600.00 (for first two players for each category and first two officials for each MNF) / USD700.00 (for additional two players for each category and additional two officials for each MNF) as aforementioned covering 6 nights’accommodation from 22nd to 28th August 2015 with breakfast, applies to bothofficials and players. There will be no refund for unused nights.

For additional nights, booking MUST also be made through the Organiser in order to enjoy the same rate of USD140.00/room/night for both single room or twin room with breakfast.

The entry fee without the accommodation package is USD50 per player or official.

All entry fees must be paid in cash by the teams' manager upon their arrival in Tehran.

Dope Testing

Dope testing may be carried out in accordance with ASF Championship Regulations. All players are required to sign a doping declaration form as part of the accreditation process. All players will be required to complete a form acknowledging the Doping Rules prior to competing in the championships.

Eyewear

The wearing of protective eye wear is mandatory for all players participating at the championship. They must be manufactured to an appropriate national standard and worn properly over the eyes at all times during competition play. All players will be required to complete a form acknowledging acceptance and compliance with this requirement prior to competing in the championships.

Clothing Regulations

ASF Clothing Regulation is attached at the end of this handbook and shall apply without exception.

Racket stringing

Rackets can be re-strung at the Championship Venue. Stringing charge without strings isUSD 10 and with strings is USD35 (Head).

Players on court

It is the responsibility of each player to be ready to play at the advertised start time of match.

Practice courts

Practice courts can be booked at the Championship Office - Championship Venue.

Results book

At the end of the championship a complete set of results will be sent by e-mail to all managers and participating national Associations/Federations. Please provide relevant email addresses to the Championship Director.

Transport

During the championship there will be regular transport provided between the hotel and the venue.

  • The first shuttle will leave the Hotel at 0830 hrs and subsequently every 60 minutes.
  • The last shuttle will leave the hotel one hour before the start of the last scheduled match.
  • The first shuttle will leave the Venue one hour after the start of the first scheduled match and subsequently every hour.
  • The last shuttle will leave the venue one hour after the last match is played.

Note: The accurate transport schedule will be announced on the 22nd August2015on the championship board at the Championship Hotel.

Food

Breakfast is complimentary at the hotel between 07:00 to 10:00.

Food and drinks will be on sale at the venue daily from 09:00 to 20:00.

Squash bags

All squash bags should be left in the designated places at the Venue. Please do not leave bags lying anywhere else in the venues. No responsibility can be taken for lost bags or property.

Tournament T-Shirt

All participants will receive a tournament T-shirt.

Medical

A doctor will be present on site throughout all sessions of play, and on call from the Championship Desk at other times. An ambulance will be on standby at the Championship Venue.

Massage and Physiotherapy – A healthcare team has been put together offering physiotherapy and massage at the venue. The prices are:

Booking can be made directly with the therapist. Payment shall be made immediately after the service to the therapist.

In the case of medical emergencies and/or accidents, please report to the Championship Office for assistance and necessary action.

Indemnity & Insurance

All participating associations and its delegated competitors / officials SHOULD agree to indemnity and hold the organizing committee free and unaccountable for and against any claims for personal injury, death or property damage, arising out of or in any way resulting from the participation in the said tournament.

News & Communication

Information Boards

Information Boards will be located at the Championship hotel and venue. Participants should consult the Information Boards on a regular basis for updated news.

Team’s Mail Boxes

Team’s mail boxes are situated in the Championship Office at the Championship Venue. For the smooth running of the Championships, we request Team Managers to visit the office regularly to collect their team’s information sheets and daily results.

Mail, Fax, E-mail, Internet & Telephone Service

Incoming faxes and other appropriate correspondence received before or during the Championships will be placed in the relevant country's mail box at the Championship Office at the Championship Venue.

Telephones

Players and officials will not be permitted to use telephones installed in the administration offices. All calls must be made at your own expense from rooms or public telephones at the hotel or elsewhere.

Messages

If telephone calls are received and the person cannot be quickly located, a message will be placed on the Information Board. The Organisers do not take any responsibility for messages that are not collected by participants.

Functions

Welcome / Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremony and welcoming dinner will take place at the TBA- on 22nd August, 2015 at 20:00. Formal team attire is to be worn by all players and officials. Attendance is mandatory for all.

Medal Award Ceremony

The official medal award ceremonies will take place on court following the completion of the finals on27th August,2015.Medal winners are expected to be available at the venue wearing team tracksuits.

Closing Ceremony

There will be a closing ceremony on 27th August,2015 at 20:00. The dress code is Official Team Attire.

Team photographs

Teams may have their photograph taken by the official photographer at the Opening Ceremony on22nd August,2015.

Foreign currency exchange

Several banks and money changers close to the hotel offer currency exchange. The currency of Iran is the Rial and the approximate official prevailing rate is USD 1.00 = 25,000 Rials.

Extra Essential Cultural Information

It is indeed a great honour for us to host your players and officials in our country. Nevertheless, there are some cultural regulations that should be noted during your stay in Iran. Please note that boys’ and girls’ matches will be organised at separated sections of the club as men cannot watch women matches. During the matches, players can use any type of clothing as approved by the ASF clothing regulations. However, anywhere outside the club (city malls & restaurants, hotel, etc) women are kindly expected to wear a headscarf, long-sleeve shirts and long pants/trousers. Boys are also requested to wear long pants/trousers while outside the club.

All women players/officials will receive a headscarf upon their arrival at the airport as a gift. Accordingly, please, advise the Championship Director regarding the number of women in your team before the deadline for necessary arrangements.

Visa Information

It is necessary to send the copies passport of all team members to Iran Squash federation 40 days before the event (13th July 2015) and inform the country where you wish collect your visas, that these are then collected from the Iranian Embassy in the relevant country by approval reference number that was issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Iran and will send you by Iran squash federation accordingly.

ASF Code of Conduct

The following offences may be subject to penalties and/or disciplinary action.

The following offences may be subject to penalties under Rule 17 of the International Singles Game of Squash and of the International Doubles Game of Squash, and/or be subject to disciplinary action by the ASF Disciplinary & Appeals Committee:

AB1.A participant who verbally or physically abuses his opponent, the Marker, Referee, officials, spectators or sponsors.

AB2.A participant who shows dissent to the Marker, Referee or officials, including foul or profane language and obscene or offensive gestures.

AB3.A participant who abuses playing equipment or the court.

AB4.A participant who fails to comply with the conditions of entry of a championship including any rules with regard to clothing or advertising.

AB5.A participant who having entered a championship or accepted an invitation to play withdraws from the event or fails to attend.

AB6.A participant who fails to complete a match for a reason other than injury, illness or emergency situation.

AB7.A participant who defaults from a championship. The Disciplinary & Appeals Committee may require evidence or proof of ‘bona fide’ injury, illness or other emergency situation.

AB8.A participant who fails to make himself available to meet reasonable request for interviews by the media.

AB9.A participant who does not comply with the Rules or spirit of the Game.

AB10. A participant guilty of any other unreasonable conduct which brings the Game into disrepute, including behavior as a result of intoxication by any means including recreational substances such as alcohol, marijuana and hallucinogens.
