Engaging hearts and minds to build a stronger community.

The Banff Canmore Community Foundation supports community health and wellness in a broad sense. Grants are awarded across the following sectors: Arts, Education, Environment, Health, Heritage, Recreation and Social Services.

Background

  • Since 2004, donors have helped the foundation reinvest $900,000 in local projects and programs.
  • Average Grant in 2015 = $4,600
  • Geographic region: Banff, Canmore and surrounding area

About Banff Canmore Community Grants

  • Applicants must be a “qualified donee” as defined under the Income Tax Act – see CRA website
  • As of September 2016, the board of directors has set a goal to distribute $120,000
  • Grant application deadline is September 30, 2016. Send to
  • Granting decisions are made by November 2016
  • Successful applicants will receive funds in December 2016 and have 12 months to complete project

5.7 Grants are not given to support annual fund raising campaigns, form letter requests or telephone campaigns
