Revolutionary Project
You will be completing a biography project over one of the revolutionaries from either the American Revolution, French Revolution, or Latin American Revolutions. I will assign who you will research, but you will choose the type of project that you complete. We will spend 4 days in class (Nov. 29 & 30 and Dec. 3& 4) researching and working on these projects. The final project is due next Wednesday, December 5th.
There are 6 different options of projects to complete. Each project will include the same information, but will simply present it in a different way. Each project will include a written conclusion of the person’s historical importance and their role in the revolution. Each project also has to use at least 3 different sources that are cited in a Bibliography. Here are your 6 choices with a brief description.
1. Written paper- Write a formal, 5 paragraph paper over your person. It should include an introduction, 3 body paragraphs, and a conclusion. The last page should be your bibliography.
2. Illustrated timeline- Create a timeline over the person’s life and the revolution. Include at least 8 events and 4 colorful illustrations. Each event should be described with a paragraph. The timeline should start in the year of their birth and end in the year of their death. Your written conclusion and bibliography should be on the back.
3. Poster- Create an organized poster that covers the information required on your person. It should include headings and titles that organize the information as well as 3 colorful illustrations. The written conclusion should be a part of the poster, and the bibliography should be on the back.
4. Scrapbook- Pretend you are the person and create a scrapbook over your life. This scrapbook should include at least 10 pages (5 pages front and back) that include important events from your life and 5 pictures. The information can be presented through written information, mementos, and other things from your experiences. The written conclusion and bibliography should be on the last 2 pages.
5. Comic Strip- Create a comic strip over your person’s life. It should include at least 12 frames that cover the entirety of their life. Use captions under the frame to explain and use colorful pictures within the frame. The written conclusion and bibliography should be on the back.
6. Facebook page- Create a colorful Facebook profile for your person. Include a profile picture, personal information section, current status, wall posts, and other items to cover all of the information. At least 5 different Facebook features have to be included. The written conclusion and bibliography should be on the back.
