2018 Bob Neal Golf Memorial Scholarship Application Guidelines

Before completing this application, read the instructions carefully. Complete all items listed below. If you are unable to provide the information requested, state the reason in the space provided or attach a letter of explanation. The applicant assumes responsibility for ensuring that all requested information is sent as a complete packet prior to the deadline.

Application Requirements

Any eligible high school senior (male or female) that has participated on the varsity golf team who will be continuing their education at the collegiate level
The scholarship is open to all students fromHigh Schools located within Boone, Campbell, Grant, Kenton and Pendleton counties within Northern Kentucky
Applicants must have a 2.5 GPA or higher (on a 4.0 scale)

Selection Process

The finalists will be chosen based off of their accomplishments on the golf course as well as their hard work inside the classroom and throughout the community. The Scholarship Committee will evaluate applicants on the following criteria:

Passion for Golf
Academic performance
Personal Character
Leadership Qualities
Determination to succeed
Community Service
Clear plan for attaining educational goals
Overall comparison to classmates / peers

Race, color, creed, nationality, sexual orientation, or religious preference will play no influence on a finalists being chosen. The Bob Neal Golf Memorial will honor two (2) recipients (male or female) with a one-time scholarship award of $1,000 each to the college of their choice.

Application Process

The application must be completed in full with the necessary documents attached and submitted in one of the following ways:

US Mail: Hard copies may be submitted and postmarked no later than April 20th, 2018. All postage expenses will be the responsibility of the applicant.

Applications, Letters of Recommendations, Transcripts and supporting documents must be submitted in Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format
Applicants, who submit their documents by email, are responsible for issues that arise involving misdirected or undeliverable emails, along with format errors.

Award Notification

The Finalists will be chosen no later than May 11th, 2018. Winners must be present at the annual golf outing held on June 9th, 2018 to receive award. Complimentary four-some to the golf outing will also be granted to each finalist.
