Supplies for Teachers
The Emerging Young Professionals is an organization for professionals in the East St. Tammany region between the ages of 21-40. Our mission statement is “Bringing together the talents and insights of Emerging Young Professionals, ages 21-40, in the East St. Tammany region is what EYP is all about. EYP is simply a network of young professionals: a dynamic and diverse group of peers with a passion for making a difference, a willingness to learn, the desire to build important relationships, and the energy to get involved in the community.”
EYP is awardingthreelucky school teachers in the East St. Tammany region, between the ages of 21-40, with a classroom full of supplies needed for the upcoming school year. We've created an opportunity to help young professionals who are unable to attend typical business functions or get involved as much as they may want to, due to the fact that they've dedicated their lives toteaching OUR children in OUR community.
One teacher will be selected from each of the following categories: grades PK-4, grades 5-8, and grades 9-12. Wish list fulfilment will be to the discretion of the EYP Board. We respectfully ask that individual items do not exceed $50.
Qualification of Candidate:
- A teacher between the ages of 21-40 at a public or private school in eastern St. Tammany Parish
- Completed Application
- Color Photograph of Applicant (preferably a headshot)
Submission and Deadline:
All completed applications must be received by August 25, 2017. (Late entries will not be considered.)
A panel of members from the Emerging Young Professionals organization will review blind copies of the entries and determine the three recipients.Recipients will be announced in September.
