Kids in the Kitchen “Pumpkin Muffins”

Mix in a large bowl:

2 cups white flour 1 cup while wheat flour

2 cups sugar 4 eggs

1 cup vegetable oil ½ teaspoon cinnamon

2 teaspoons baking powder 2 teaspoons baking soda

Add and stir in:

2 cups (one 16 oz. can) pumpkin 1 cup raisins

Have children line muffin tins with paper baking cups.

Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Makes 36 muffins.

Craft Corner “Macaroni Necklaces”

Collect various sizes and shapes of tube shaped uncooked pasta noodles and place them in a zip-lock storage bag. Add a few drops of food coloring and shake. Spread on a cookie sheet to dry. Help your child string them on bright colored yarn to make a necklace.

“Leaf Rubbings”

Collect an assortment of leaves in different sizes and shapes. Place leaves between two sheets of paper. Let your child color over the top paper using the flat side of a crayon to make a beautiful fall picture.
