2017 CTA Capacity Building Grant

The CTA Capacity Building Grant is offered each year to all USTA Texas partner CTAs that are in good standing with USTA Texas, have completed their 2016 Health Index updates or necessary documentation for those who received 9.0+, and have submitted all grant reports from 2016 grants.

The intent of this funding program istwo-fold:

  1. To reward CTAs for completing the 2016 Health Index Update (necessary documentation for those who received a score of 9.0+) and providing a status on their 2016 goals
  2. To further develop and enhance the basic off-court administrative functions and over-all structure of your organization

Single-Purpose/Multi-Purpose - $500 - $3,000Umbrella/Coalition CTAs - $500 - $7,500

** This is a competitive grant. Grant amounts are not guaranteed and are based on the quality of the application as well as quality and quantity of other requests. (The total amount of funds budgeted by USTA Texas available for distribution for all Capacity Building Grant Requests in 2017might be $55,000.)

Instructions:

1)Please provide a cover page that includes:Organization’s name, organization’s mailing address, andkey contact information

2)Submit a detailed narrative requestand an itemized list of expensesfor each of the off-court administrative/organizational areasfor which you would like funding. Please refer to the ‘Capacity Building Grant Guidelines’ document

3) Submit your CTA’s 2016 Health Index Update or necessary documents for those with scores of 9.0+.

Deadline:

Applications are due November 1, 2016. Please allow 30 days from the deadline for processing.

Requirements:

  • CTA must not include programming in the Capacity Building Grant. Please use the Grow the Game Grant for programming needs
  • CTA must be a Registered CTAwith the USTA and acurrent USTA Organizational Member
  • CTA must be Incorporated as a non-profitwith the Secretary of State
  • CTA must provide their 2016Health IndexUpdate
  • CTA must only request funds up to the maximum funding level (see above)
  • Recipients must have completed their 2016year-end report if grant funding was provided for 2016(deadline Nov. 1)
  • Recipients are required to attend the annual USTA Texas Community Development Workshop
  • Recipients are required to complete a 2017end of year report
