2017 CoC Bonus Project Application Instructions

The Alexandria Continuum of Care (CoC) has been given the opportunity to apply for a maximum of $47,079 in HUD-CoC Bonus Funding for Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH), Rapid Rehousing (RRH), or Joint Transitional and Permanent Housing (TH/PH) programs.

To best serve our community, the CoC would like to extend this funding opportunity within and outside of the continuum equally, so we encourage any organization that is pursuing homeless assistance in the Washington-Metropolitan region to apply. Likewise, renewing HUD-CoC grantees in Alexandria may apply to fund a new program with bonus funding, or expand their existing HUD-CoC program to serve more clients.

All organizations that intend to apply for bonus project funding in Alexandria’s FY17 CoC Competition must follow the instructions below to complete and submit a satisfactory 2017 Notice of Intent – Bonus:

·  To apply for bonus funding, a complete “2017 Notice of Intent - Bonus” must be sent to Stefan Caine at by COB 8/4/2017

·  Notices of Intent being considered for bonus project funding must be incompliance with the FY17 Notice of Funding Ability (NOFA); specifically the proposed program must align with one of the project types (PSH, RRH, or TH/PH) allowed under FY17 CoC bonus funding and serve the population eligible for that project type (p. 10), and must meet project eligibility and quality thresholds for the applicable project type (p. 29-35)

·  The Notice of Intent can be completed electronically; bolded sections are required and indicate where information must be entered by the submitting organization

·  Please replace the Partnership to Prevent and End Homeless’ logo at the top of the Notice of Intent with your organization’s letter head

·  Please include the name of the organization in the document title

·  Please read the Notices of Intent carefully and ensure you are providing all of the information being asked

·  The Notice of Intent, instructions for completion, and other HUD-CoC Competition resources will be made available on the Partnership’s webpage for public access
