BGHS vs. South Warren- Tonight’s winner will claim the #1 seed for District 2 in the Class 5A Region 1 Playoffs. The Purples and Spartans have never met. The Purples have won 28 consecutive games against district opponents, a streak that dates back to the 2010 season. BGHS is also seeking to secure its 27th district championship (including seven straight, and 18 of the last 22).
BGHS vs. Warren County Schools- BGHS is 98-13 (.882) against the schools in Warren County. The Purples are now 38-12 when playing Warren Central, 26-0 against Greenwood, and 32-1 against Warren East...During his time at BGHS, Kevin Wallace is 58-4 (.935) against Warren County schools.
BGHS Barren County- BGHS scored 35 first quarter points en route to a 56-0 win over the Trojans. It marked the 16th win in a row over Barren Co. JR QB Beau Buchanan was 6-9-0, 98 yards, 4 TD, and rushed for a 52-yard score. SR WR Ziyon Kenner had a TD reception and a 48-yard punt return for a score. Kenner has scored on punt returns this season against St. X, Warren Central, and Barren County. He also had a 99-yard kickoff return for a TD against PRP. SR WR Nash Hightower had two TD catches and SR WR Austin Brown added one as well. SR RB Dazhon Blakey and SO RB J’vyan Collins both had rushing touchdowns. On defense, JR DE Durrell Gray led the Purples with five tackles. SO DE Keaton Oldham returned after missing five games due to injury and made an immediate impact. Oldham had four tackles, including three sacks. JR S Davis Tomblinson added an interception. The Purples special teams did quality work again as JR Cardavious Edmonds and SO VIto Tisdale both had blocked punts in the contest.
BGHS Football- BGHS Football began play in 1922. Since that time, the Purples have amassed a record of 690-333-35, which places them eighth in all-time wins in Kentucky.. The Purples are tied for 9th in state championships (6), are among only 12 schools in state history that have won three consecutive championships, and their 48-game win streak (2011-14) is the second longest in state history. Since 2011, BGHS is 90-5 (.947). In the 26 seasons since 1990, BGHS and Highlands are the only two Kentucky schools to win more than 85% of their games. JV/Freshman Football- JV - After having their last 5 games canceled, BGHS defeated Warren Central, 38-0, to move to 1-1 on the season. FR- moved to 6-1 with a 21-8 win over John Hardin. They will travel to Owensboro on Thursday.
Coach Wallace: Kevin Wallace now has 250 wins in his 22 seasons as the head coach at BGHS. Wallace is 250-40 (.862) with the Purples and has a career record of 295-101 (.745). Wallace is tied for 10th in KHSAA state championship appearances (8) and and tied for 7th in state championships won (5). Wallace is the only coach in state history that have been a part of three separate winning streaks of over 25 games .

Rankings: MaxPreps ranks BGHS 3rd in Class 5A, 19th in KY, and 1394th in the US. South Warren comes in at 4th in Class 5A, 28th in KY, and 1975th in the US.
