You are responsible for proving a labelled CD with your musical selection to Rebecca Volk,(C135) by the registration deadline– Monday November 21, 2016, 4:00 p.m.
THIS IS MANDATORY TO ENSURE A SPOT IN THE COMPETITION.

ENTRY PLEDGE

This is where it gets exciting. Air Bands won’t only be competing for musical supremacy-- they will be competing to see which one can raise the most money for the United Way. There is a $50 entry pledgeper Air Band and you are encouraged to raise more than this. Where you get this money is up to you: ask around your office for support, friends and family, even external sponsorships! There will be fabulous bling for the Air Band that raises the most money by November 23, 2016.

PLEASE NOTE:

Air Bands accepted to perform will be based on a first-come, first-served basis – this will be determined by receipt to the United Way Planning Team, c/o Rebecca Volk (C135) of this completed Registration Form, the $50.00 entry pledge and a CD of the musical selection.

CONDITIONS OF THIS CONTRACT (also known as the “fine print”)

Your musical selection must not exceed 3 minutes in length.

PLEASE NOTE:

You are responsible for proving a labelled CD with your musical selectionby the registration deadline–Monday November 21, 2016.

Your Air Band is encouraged to don costumes (go wild and include make-up and wigs too!) appropriate to the performance. Be sure to have props and bring along groupies too!

This year’s Air Band competition will be held in the Marketplace Food Court(Salons A/B) and will be open to Algonquin employees and students!

The UW Planning Team will provide 2 guitars, 1 set of drums, 1 mic (of the air band variety) and a stage. Feel free to bring your own additional instruments and/or props. Roadies will be provided to assist with set-up.

The UW Planning Team reserves the right to select the order in which the Air Bands will perform. Your Air Band will be informed of yourperformance timeno later than Wednesday November 23. Please ensure that your Air Band is ready at least 10 minutes ahead of your performance time. All performances will occur between 7:45 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. on Thursday November 24.

THE WINNERS

The winning Air Band will be selected by a panel of judges, will be presented with the official United Way Air Band trophy, and thereby win bragging rights for an entire year.

The Air Band which raises the most money by November 23 will win amazing Air Band bling.

Additionally, the Air Band voted the fan favorite (through an online poll set up after the event), will be given the opportunity to perform again at the United Way Touchdown event (December 5, exact location/time TBD).
