2016 STANDARD BANK SIKUVILE AWARDS FINALISTS ANNOUNCED

Johannesburg –The Print and Digital Media South Africa (PDMSA) is pleased to announce the finalists in the 2016 Standard Bank Sikuvile Awards, an annual recognition of excellence in South African journalism.

Of the 484 submissions received, 63 finalists were drawn across 14 award categories. Four categories, that is Category 15: SA STORY OF THE YEAR, Category 16: UPCOMING/ RISING STAR OF THE YEAR, Category 17: JOURNALIST OF THE YEAR and Category 18: ALLAN KIRKLAND SOGA LIFETIME ACHIEVER AWARD will only be announced at the Awards ceremony. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony that will take place onat the end of July or early August at a venue in Johannesburg.

The Awards are sponsored by Standard Banks and hosted by the Publishers Support Services (PSS), formerly known as the Print and Digital Media of South Africa (PDMSA), an umbrella body incorporating print and digital media.
