2016 NEW YORK TIMES TRAVEL SHOW ATTENDANCE

HIGHEST IN NINE YEARS

NEW YORK, January 15, 2016 –Attendance at the 2016 The New York Times Travel Showwas the highest in nine years and the second most attended New York Times Travel Show ever.

Overall attendance was 29,050in 2016. The largest growth was from consumer attendees, which at20,750 grew by three percent over 2015. Trade attendance was once again strong at 8,300.
Of the Travel Show’s more than 525 exhibitors, 110made their debut in 2016.

Approximately900 members of the media attended the 2016 Travel Show, to gain insights from The Travel Show’s Trade Day keynote speakers Zane Kirby,president and CEO of the American Society of Travel Agents,and Paul Wiseman, president of tour operator Trafalgar in addition to other industry-focused seminars and conferences, as well as experiencing two days of consumer events, that featured nearly 275 travel industry speakers and experts.
