Dear Business Owner,

Queens Park will come to life on Sunday 28 February 2016,between 10am and 5pm, for our largest annual community celebration, the Moonee Valley Festival. The festival is an exciting opportunity to bring the Moonee Valley community together to celebrate with a diverse program of entertainment and activities for people of all ages and interests.

This year marks the 39thMoonee Valley Festival featuring an exciting program of community displays, business exhibits, stage and roving performers, kid’s activities and amusements, food and market stalls and interactive displays and demonstrations.

Moonee Valley City Council is extending an invitation to local community groups, organisations and businesses to participate in this wonderful community event. There are a number of ways to be involved including operating an information or display stall or presenting an activity or demonstration that relates to your business.

If you are interested in participating inthe event please complete the attached application form and return to us prior to Friday 8 January 2016.If your application is successful, you will be notified in writing and sent a payment form.

*Stallholders can hire infrastructure for the duration of the event. We encourage stallholders to utilise this hire service as infrastructure and furniture will be supplied and setup for you.

** Please note if you wish to bring your own marquees/structures it must be in good working order and must be safely and adequately weighted.Under no circumstances are pegs to be used within the grounds of Queens Park – structures must be weighted only.

PUBLIC AND PRODUCT LIABILITY

All participants are required to have Public Liability Insurance (at least $10M cover).We require a copy of your Certificate of Currency stating Moonee Valley City Council as an “Interested Party”.Please carefully read and sign the following Indemnity and Insurance clause.

I confirm my participation for the 2016 Moonee Valley Festival and agree to indemnify and keep indemnified, the Moonee Valley City Council (MVCC) and its servants and agents from all actions, costs, claims, charges, expenses and damages occurring in connection with any activity/event, negligent act, error or omission at the event. My liability to indemnify MVCC will be reduced proportionally to the extent that any act or omission of MVCC, its servants or agents contributes to the loss or liability. I agree to keep current during the period of the activity/event a liability Insurance Policy, subject only to conditions and exclusions approved by MVCC. I agree to provide cover in respect of claims for personal injury or property damage arising out of negligence. The amount of cover will be for no less than $10,000.00.

Please be advised that the festival will feature more than one stallholder selling/promoting the same/similar items.

Please note we cannot confirm site locations until closer to the event.

Please note there is no guarantee of securing a stall at the festival however we will do our best to accommodate your requests. All applications will be considered by Moonee Valley City Council. Unsuccessful applicants will be advised in writing. Please note notification of non-attendance is required. There are no refunds for all approved applications. No refunds will be given for non-attendance. Council reserves the right to cancel the event for extreme weather conditions and accepts no responsibility for adverse weather. Should the event be cancelled no refunds will be given for this reason.
